Here is a link to a book I just discovered on Gutenberg. It is titled: "Handbook of Embroidery" by L. Higgin. Published in 1880, it has many illustrations, and instructions for embroidery stitches. Vintage Graphic: Beautiful Ribbon Frame

How sweet is this! A lovely frame with a book, ribbons and a baby. Originally a book cover, I've cleaned it up and tinted the book for boys and girls. Wouldn't this be a charming addition to a baby scrapbook! Have fun - Judy

 

 

Free Vintage Bookplate & Poem

This beautiful old bookplate would grace any book, whether for

a child, or a child at heart, like me. There is a poem which has

a wise saying about lending books, and a ribbon for a name.
